The History of Gladiator Cleaning Ltd
We (Dan and Steve) are old school friends and founded Gladiator in 2014. Dan had wanted to start his own business for a while and Steve already had nearly a decade’s experience working as a school cleaner.
The company name was chosen simply by browsing our DVD collection until we landed on one we liked!
We bought our first van, a 2006 Citroën Berlingo (which we still have!) and purchased our first carpet cleaning equipment.
It then took several years of training, experience, and experimenting with different processes and chemicals to slowly build up our client base.
Eventually in 2016 we took on a series of commercial contracts which became the backbone of our work. They’re still our clients to this day.
In 2020 we were one of the first cleaning companies to return to work following the ‘Covid safe’ protocols, and helped keep people’s houses sanitised during the worst couple of years ever.
After years of slowly acquiring more equipment we finally upgraded ourselves to a newer, larger Renault Traffic van in 2022, and eventually bought a second HWE machine for our original one.
In 2024 we now have two operations running and have Sky and Yasin as helpful employees!
Dan has two children, a side business offering property maintenence services, and enjoys playing Xbox.
Steve loves Star Trek and old British cars, and has a second career as a camera operator in the media industry.
